Operating for 32 years, we discuss with Jo-Ann Greenwood, National Marketing Manager for Health and Fitness Professionals Association (HFPA) about their decision to deliver CYQ qualifications across South Africa.
Founded in 1979, HFPA was one of the first organisations internationally, to recognise and act upon the need for representation and specialised training for the sport and fitness industry. Over its 32 years history, HFPA has led the initiative to create unity and set professional standards for the Southern African fitness industry.
A shared mission
With such a strong history, HFPA wished to expand further and enlisted the services of CYQ to increase the service provision on offer as Jo-Ann Greenwood explains: “We chose CYQ as we felt that the qualifications are very good and we wanted to be able to assist students wishing to travel abroad. We also felt that working with CYQ offered a close alignment to our centre’s mission.”
This mission statement aims to maintain HFPA as the leading educational institute for the fitness industry in South Africa and to represent their students, providing services in accordance with their needs. As such, it is a safe assumption that the international appeal of CYQ’s qualifications has proved a pivotal factor in HFPA’s decision.
