The Fitness Academy of Finland (FAF) is one of CYQ’s newest international centres. With a wealth of experience in delivering qualifications dating back to 1996, FAF were keen to ensure that their qualifications became internationally recognised, and as such chose CYQ as their awarding organisation of choice.
“We wanted to provide courses which were internationally recognised and approved by The European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS) so as to raise the standard of health and fitness instructor education in Finland.” says Jyri Manninen, Director of Education for FAF.
Closely aligned
FAF's mission is to promote human wellbeing by offering high quality courses in health and fitness instruction to those aspiring to become professionals in the health and fitness industry, as well as regular people who wish to learn more about their own health, fitness and wellness needs. The close alignment in values between FAF and CYQ proved a further contributory factor in FAF’s decision to become one of the growing band of international centres.
The decision by FAF has already had a successful impact on their reputation as one of the most forward-thinking and innovative centres in Finland, as Jyri explains: “Now that we are offering CYQ courses, our company has benefited from being seen as the market leader in health and fitness instructor education, one that is committed to providing the best available high quality courses in Finland.”
Continuing to grow
Beyond reputation alone, FAF have also had the pleasure of seeing their recent Exercise to Music graduates all successfully gain employment at the culmination of their training. Far from resting on their laurels, FAF is now looking ahead to increasing their offering to include courses such as Personal Training and Advanced ETM to offer their talented graduates an opportunity to further enhance their skills.
