Certificate in Instructing Health Related Exercise for Children
This qualification is available to individuals who wish to run health related exercise sessions for children and those who are already running such sessions without a formal qualification.
Candidates will learn:
- how to plan, teach and evaluate a safe and effective health related exercise session for children
- how to adapt exercise for a child with specific needs and requirements
- the generic induction standard for people working with children in an active leisure setting

Prerequisites |
There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification, although it is expected that candidates will have experience of working with children, or have experience in the delivery of exercise programmes. It is recommended that centres offering this qualification should have access to an appropriate practical facility and that all courses leading to the certificate should be run with a practical bias. |
