From Monday 23 November, customers will be able to schedule eProctored assessments, allowing remote invigilation for the first time.

Remote invigilation via eProctoring allows learners to complete their YMCA Awards externally assessed exams at home without a member of centre staff overseeing the assessment. Instead, the learner uses their webcam and smartphone to record what they do during the exam so that we can verify they have met assessment conditions.

To support our customers to complete their existing learners, YMCA Awards will subsidise eProctored assessments until 31 December 2020. This means that centres will only be required to pay £8 per learner per scheduled eProctored assessment. This will rise to £12 per learner per assessment from 1 January 2021.

For further information on eProctoring, please read our:

The video below talks you through the process of scheduling eProctored assessments within the XAMS platform. Before booking any eProctored assessments, centres must ensure that learners have the required software/hardware as bookings cannot be amended and will be charged regardless of whether the learner sits the assessment.
