YMCA Awards (previously CYQ) is delighted to announce SFA funding approval for the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (500/8269/3) and the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing Exercise and Fitness (501/0519/X).
YMCA Awards is proud to add these two popular qualifications to their already impressive list of qualifications (from Level 1 to Level 4) that allow centres to draw down funding from the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).
YMCA Awards’ diverse list of training providers, further education colleges and higher education institutes can now effectively plan for the upcoming academic year secure in the knowledge that they will be able to gain funding for learners taking these qualifications, effectively supporting those who want to take their first steps in the active leisure industry.

YMCA Awards support centres in the delivery of these qualification with high-quality print and digital learning resources and in-house customer and technical support.
Rob May, Director of YMCA Awards commented, “We are delighted that these qualifications have been added to the suite of YMCA Awards qualifications approved for SFA funding and look forward to our centres providing our learners with the skills they need to kick start their careers in this industry at a time where vocational qualifications and apprenticeships are hitting headlines. This decision underpins our rigorous qualification development process and we are committed to the continued development of industry-recognised educational products that enable learners to succeed and providers to grow.”
