Following its replacement by the CYQ Level 2 Certificate in Leisure Operations 600/8280/X, CYQ is officially announcing the withdrawal of the following qualification from the QCF:

CYQ is now offering an alternative pathway for the delivery of Chair-Based Exercise. The new rule of combination (ROC) allows the learner to select both ‘additional’ (optional) units to gain the skills and knowledge to plan and deliver chair-based exercise to both frailer older adults and disabled adults.

This training day is designed to support centres wishing to deliver YMCA Awards Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy, including guidelines for delivery and standardisation of assessment practice.

This qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to pursue a career in the Active Leisure Sector. It replaces the earlier Certificate in Leisure Operations (600/5211/9), with the exclusion of Emergency first aid skills and the addition of optional units in pool lifeguarding and providing a reception service.
