By completing this qualification, learners will meet industry requirements to plan and deliver safe and effective suspended movement training sessions.

The purpose of this qualification is to upskill existing exercise and fitness instructors so that they can plan, prepare and instruct imaginative, progressive and effective suspended movement training sessions.

With content links to national occupational standards, employers recognise this qualification prepares learners to plan and deliver safe and effective suspended movement training.

With CIMSPA CPD points, it can also be used towards members' annual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements.


 

Builds on existing Gym Instructor and/or Personal Trainer qualifications and experience, broadening knowledge and skills.

Employers want their fitness instructors to be able to do more than one thing. This qualification supports upskilling, allowing learners to plan and deliver imaginative, progressive and effective suspended movement training sessions.


Increase employability

 

Learners must be aged 16 plus with an existing gym-based fitness qualification (e.g. YMCA Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing).

To achieve the YMCA Level 2 Award in Instructing Suspended Movement Training (603/7187/0), learners need to achieve 1 mandatory unit.
