Supported by employers

These qualifications are endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).

CIMSPA professional standards are employer-led and define the knowledge and skills individuals must understand and demonstrate to undertake a particular role.

Employers want to be confident that their client-facing staff are going to represent their brand and provide an outstanding customer experience.

That's why YMCA Awards Personal Trainer (Practitioners) need to demonstrate they are able to present themselves professionally, communicate effectively and motivate clients before they can be certificated.

Focus on customer experience

Supported by Y-Mark

Our free Y-Mark digital assessment workbooks are very similar to a typical eLearning knowledge check or quiz. They contain a mixture of multiple choice and multiple response questions is an accessible and easy to navigate layout.

They can be completed anywhere there is an internet connection and, as they're self-marking, save tutors an average of 25 minutes per learner. All this adds up to more class time to perfect those practical skills!

Learners must be aged 16 plus. Ideally they should have some experience of gym-based exercises as participation in a variety of gym-based practical sessions will be required throughout the qualification. Learners should also have communication skills pitched at level 2 which can be developed during the course.
