FELTAG response

Some centres will already be aware of the recommendation by the Further Education Learning Technology Action Group (FELTAG) that publicly funded courses from September 2015 are supported by a minimum of 10% wholly-online learning. Their recommendation is also that this requirement increases to 50% from September 2017.

The Basil Scott Training Bursary was established in 2011 to provide free training opportunities for young people and volunteers. Successful applicants are offered access to YMCA training courses and qualifications up to the value of £10,000 per annum. The bursary is aimed at assisting those who would otherwise be unable to afford additional professional training, and seeks to encourage volunteering and to support those seeking employment using newly gained skills.
Multiple-choice test items – creation, review and editing processes

CYQ would like to reassure centres of the rigorous quality control procedures in place for creating, reviewing and editing multiple-choice tests. These processes are underpinned by the Ofqual Conditions of Recognition.

New leader takes helm at CYQ
