    Overview

    The purpose of this qualifications is to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills and competence to plan, deliver and evaluate safe and effective yoga sessions.

    Completing this qualification enables learners to access jobs instructing unsupervised yoga sessions.

    Qualification Details

    Learners will cover:

    Understand anatomy and physiology for exercise and health
    Understand the philosophy and fundamentals of yoga
    How to programme a yoga session
    How to instruct a yoga session

    To achieve the YMCA Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga, learners are expected to achieve all 7 mandatory units.

    Multiple choice theory paper
    Assessment workbook
    Worksheets
    Yoga practice journal
    Health and safety planning document and session plan
    Progressive programme

    This qualification can lead to work as an employed or self-employed yoga instructor.
