    This qualification will help the learner understand and appreciate the concept of body image and explore some of the positive lifestyle choices they can make to help them lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

    Learners will cover:

    Understanding the influences of body image
    Know what is meant by self esteem
    Understanding ways of building confidence and self esteem
    Understanding how active leisure pursuits contribute to fitness
    Understanding the range of active leisure pursuits available to them
    Understanding the benefits and components of a balanced diet
    Being able to participate in a range of active leisure pursuits
    Being able to review a range of active leisure pursuits
    Being able to prepare a healthy meal

    There are 5 assessments across 2 units:

    Assessment element 1 – worksheet
    Assessment element 2 – worksheet (MCQ)
    Assessment element 3 – leaflet/pamphlet
    Assessment element 4 – activity log and review
    Assessment element 5 – plan and prepare a healthy meal
