Some centres will already be aware of the recommendation by the Further Education Learning Technology Action Group (FELTAG) that publicly funded courses from September 2015 are supported by a minimum of 10% wholly-online learning. Their recommendation is also that this requirement increases to 50% from September 2017.

Whilst these recommendations haven’t yet become policy, it is clear that the general direction in education is for an increase in online learning and assessment to improve accessibility and better prepare learners for a workplace that is increasingly reliant on technology. CYQ is committed to supporting centres in meeting these requirements, both through its existing resources and future innovative products.
